Updates

SO here are some random ramblings:

  • I've come to the conclusion that Lucky Charms are the most overrated cereal this side of the Mississippi.

  • Had a solid BBQ this weekend up in Dobbs, with ol' cousin Deepak from India.

  • Spent a solid evening with Benoit on Friday for his birthday. Hit a few bars downtown, then took off to Brooklyn, where I woke up on his couch with a cat sleeping on my head. Had a good time with some of the old school SU kid, such as Mark, Miha, Casserta, and Tempas.

  • One of these days, the Yankees will get their shit together.

  • I've heard that Joe Fields is being moved from QB to FS. If he has talent, he'll excel, if not, it's been a pleasure and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

  • Still seriously considering moving to the East Village or anywhere on the West side. The UES is starting to kill me. The commute to work is awful, being I pretty much go from river to river. Plus, I just need a change of scene. I thought I was going to be happy being in a quiet apartment, not near anything. Let's put it this way, I have to talk myself into getting out of here to get groceries.

  • I'm reading an amazing book right now called No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy. If you can grab it, I highly recommend it.

In a nutshell...

This is what has happened over the past few weeks:

  • I turned 29 last Saturday

  • We went to McSorleys for my birthday, where the entire bar, including this guy, chanted "Jay Loves the Cock"

  • I've been to al least a handful of Yankee games this summer, and they're playing well below .500 in games I've attended

  • Carl Pavano will never pitch for the Yankees

  • I love what the Jets did in the draft, regardless if taking Anthony Schleagel in the 3rd was a reach. Mangold and Furgeson will be anchoring that line for the next 10 years

  • Work is going well, now that we have a little more time, I've been able to work on some projects that have been really interesting, inlcuding ones involving players

  • I'm going to DC this weekend for my Mom's graduation, and yes, we're all proud of her

  • Also going to a Nationals/Orioles game in DC this weekend.

Ha!

Is there something different about this site? Honestly, anything look new to you?

I tried to get it to look exactly like the old one, but flavor it up a bit. The coding is all new. All CSS, no tables. It's been a long time coming, just haven't been able to get the time to do it. This template went from 600 lines of code to 193. Yeah, that's solid, biatch...

Also, we should point out you can now make comments on the posts. This is much better for me being that it's a pain in my ass when people call me at work to complain about this site. Now you can do it in public!
